Situated
in the beautiful village of Combe Martin on the
North Devon coast, we have two self-catering holiday
properties for you to rent for a truly relaxing
holiday. The owner, Mrs. Suzanne Hawkins, grew
up in Combe Martin and still spends much of her
time in her own flat at Beachcroft, taking a personal
pride in all the accommodation.
The
two properties are reached by a short flight of
steps from the access road.
Beachcroft
consists of two separate flats that are totally
self-contained and fully equipped with modern
appliances
Beach
Cottage is a semi-detached house with three bedrooms,
separate lounge and dining rooms and modern appliances
Both
properties overlook the picturesque Newberry Beach,
reached by crossing a narrow access road. Holidaymakers
can enjoy the shingle beach and rock pools at
almost any time and a sandy beach is exposed when
the tide recedes.
The
village is a few minutes stroll away with the
usual assortment of shops, pubs and restaurants.
The beach has won Seaside Awards in 1999 and 2000.
For
those wishing to explore the wider area of Devon
and Cornwall, Combe Martin provides the ideal
centre with the larger towns of Ilfracombe and
Barnstaple (the oldest borough in Britain) less
than ten miles away.
Just
a short drive away are other attractive beaches
such as Woolacombe and Putsborough and also a
multitude of small bays and coves to explore all
within easy reach. With Combe Martin being on
the edge of the Exmoor National Park, there are
some of the most beautiful walks in this part
of the country.
